Founded by Ken Monnens and Masao Jim Uyeda in 2005, Twisted Willow Farm is located in California’s spectacular Napa Valley — a valley rich with vineyards, wineries and world-class restaurants. And, unique to our appelation, our twenty-acre farm is dedicated to the cultivation of flowers, fruits, vegetables and Tuber melanosporum, the elusive black Périgord truffle.
Our farm is organically maintained in a rustic yet sophisticated style. And all who visit bring an energy of goodness that instills itself in the very soil in which we grow our food.
What better place to raise our Lagotto than on their very own truffle farm — a safe and secure place for socializing, play time, exercise and truffle hunts.
We love life and all of the good things that make it so. Family, hard work, great food, friends and pets that capture our hearts. Our farm community includes Peggy the Pony (who has her own Facebook page @peggythepony) and Garland the miniature horse, both of whom are now working with children with disabilities at the Santa Rosa Junior college Equi-Ed program. Twisted Willow Farm is also home to Phyliss and her brood of hens, and, of course, our Lagotto — Roman, Ambra, Kessa, Donna and Ani.
And, above the ground, are our friends the barn owls and hawks that help keep our truffle orchard gopher and ground squirrel free!
